Have you or someone you know experienced the loss of a loved one? A loss that you are struggling with. A loss that has been UNIMAGINABLE. A loss that has stopped your world but not the world around you. A loss that makes you feel alone and isolated. A loss that makes you feel like no one understands. A loss that has you asking so many questions. Why has this happened? Why can’t I understand this? How am I supposed to live my life now? What do I have to live for? There are so many questions and many days you may struggle to just get out of bed.
We are here to help. Parkwood Church is starting a GriefShare group that is open to the congregation and to the community. GriefShare is a Christian-based church ministry program to help people deal with the loss of a loved one.
GriefShare is a 13-week program with discussions, videos, and much more. It will help you learn how to accept and co-exist with your loss. There is no cost to attend the program. You can register online at GriefShare.org or you can show up without registering. Registering on the website will give you access to more help that is available online as well as access to the weekly videos.
Loss and the grief that follows can be overwhelming, but you don’t have to walk this path alone. We will be meeting every Monday for 13 weeks starting Monday, March 2nd from 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM. While losing someone may be the most devastating thing you will ever experience, your grief journey can lead to acceptance, healing, and moving forward to a life where you can choose to smile again, laugh again, and find those reasons to want to live again.
